Paragon have invested £4m in developing a state of the art production facility for their flexible film operation.

Producing Lidding, Salad bag and PLA films for the fresh and chilled food sectors.

The new 68,000 sq ft site in Gainsborough is equipped with 2 new Comexi presses in addition to its market leading Technology and Development Centre. The technology and development centre is a revolution in terms of food science.

Product respiration is measured at the facility to determine the optimum perforation configuration to ensure shelf life extension and product freshness. The Technology Centre has also developed two lidding films, Freshlife™ a petrochemical film and Freshlife Bio™ a crop based,biodegradable sustainable and renewable film both of which promote product freshness and shelf life enhancement.

Perforation of the film can be achieved using hot needle, gas flame, punch or laser to suit any application. The facility is operational from May '06 and we welcome customers old and new to see what the future of film production looks like.
