NEW ultrathin flexible packaging being developed

Paragon Flexibles Food Science joins the University of Bangor, Co-op, and others in an ambitious project to develop Ultrathin Lightweight Packaging Materials from Farm-Produced Raw Material, funded by the UK Government's Technology Strategy Board, a 20 million innovation fund for UK industry.

Paragon will contribute expertise in the conversion of bioplastic materials, and in the specification of new packaging material breathability characteristics for optimal shelf life, product quality, and prevention of loss through food waste. Paragon will have first right of refusal to supply any ultrathin lightweight flexible packaging products developed as a result of the programme.
